I should judge everything I do in terms of increase in io

The more io , the more perceived freedom one possess

This is why , one should work as hard as possible to acquire infinite optionally to gain infinite freedom

clarity is need before action

with your hard work, you make money that gives you infinite optionality which you could later use for whatever option you see fit for your time.

money = infinite optionality = freedom

human resource is going to be really cheap for next two years

Reasons:


1) all this pessimism around our economy will result in negative sentiments from the business community, hence the slow recovery will at least take two years from this very day.(guess)

2) AI - will eat jobs, and it will be ugly because all low paying repetitive jobs will be automated sooner than people will realize. This will force an immense number of people, to look for jobs in desperation.


To be precise  - I am predicting that our economy will at least take two years before reaching to a quarterly GDP of upwards of 7, measured by the method used for GDP measurement in period 2012- 2014.



conclusion:

human labor will be cheap.


Those businesses that require human capital will have an edge over other venture categories because modiji indirectly supplied you almost the cheapest human resource on the planet.

our modern society is based on this simple idea.

I was never told that society is built on this principle. Growing up, the type of role models that were introduced to me was largely conquerers such as Alexander or Napolean or Genghis Khan. For the first time, milton Friedman taught me that there is another way to conquer hearts of other humans, and that is through voluntary cooperation and making someone's life better by your creation.



That one can rule the world if their creation is making life better for as many humans as possible. then the focus should be on creating something valuable and making sure that you get financially rewarded for the same.



I can not express the gratitude, I have for Milton, in words. I am not special and I do not possess any special ability as well.But his teaching changed my fundamental understanding of our human society.

Mathematical curves in society ?

We have been taught in physics that there are mathematical models and curves that explain our physical environment or nature.

The interesting question would to ask our selfs.... could there be mathematical curves to define our society and social interactions ?

Eg
Power law
Reciprocity curve or third law of motion
Social gravity
Certainty
Mathematical curves to define self interest

I need to test them in life and use those succeed in what I want to do.

Acquire knowledge , apply knowledge

multi-tasking is an illusion

I need to re-program my brain to focus on one thing at a time.

the urge is too strong to try to do many things at a time, but the impact is far less than what could have been if you were singly focused on one thing.


If i have to visualize  it....it would a case of trying to focus on two or more power-law curves simultaneously, which I think is going to be disastrous.


it is difficult to focus on one thing , as our mind has this tendency of wandering is the cosmos. On top of it, if we deliberately ask it to juggle multiple activities simultaneously then it would make our brain's job even harder to focus and get the best possible outcome.


naval ravikant said it best - " you can have anything in the world, till the time it is one thing :)"


it takes a lot of practice and attention to not get distracted. It takes discipline, to be focused.


it must be , one of the core variables that differentiate us.

This ability to focus on one thing and getting it done is very powerful.

I was not satisfied by knowing an answer , I wanted to know the answer to the problem.


Which meant to go to the core or the highest meta of the problem , which took substantial amount of time from my life.


But I have reached there and got what I wanted.

winning is a form of certainty, our brain loves certainty by deduction everybody loves certainty

winning has different forms - winning at poetry , winning at business, winning at sports , winning a lover, etc

every vertical should have a winning framework

everything that we learn is adding to that winning frame work

you cant stop your brain from going after the feeling of winning ... the only thing you can control is the choice of type of battles you wish to win.

winning takes different shape and format in different type of battles .... but the class level solution that we all are seeking is the elation one feels before, during and after winning the battle.


so on a meta level, people are not coming to you....they are coming to win which they think they will in your surrounding.

Everybody wants to win. But you can't win all battles all the time and you should not win them as well. We should try to win only the most important and the most powerlawed battles, so that you finally win the war.

One of the consequences of winning is that you'll get to make hell lot of money.

You should make the distinction between those people who want to win and those people who want to make money.

See how many people understand that the one is the consequence of the other.

I think , I have the right template now. This is what I was looking for so many years.

I need to walk the talk now..... let us see where these abstraction take us.


It is  never late to correct yourself, it takes courage to change.


I always knew that I had the right genetic make up  of a hard working person and if we add up my back ground of being a bihari - I knew that hard work was default stand for somebody like me.

But a couple of years back, I had this question...when all of us are trained in working hard ...why the fuck are we not at the top of the food chain rather we seem satisfied being somewhere in the middle.


this pushed me to ask question about my own history and the possible legacy I would want to leave

I knew that there was something wrong with the whole approach that my people were following to survive in society.



And then, it dawned at me....... someday I had this vivid visualization .... that I could consider my brain and my hard working body to be a supercar ....but the whole problem was that this super card did not have the ability to consistently stay in a particular direction..... in simple words the software was primitive and the hardware was cutting edge.


The car was not placed in the right direction, or for that manner ...no direction. So, the net displacement was very close to zero. Even though the car had been working so hard to move.


The day I visualized it, was the day I resolve that I will work for finding direction in life and even more...will find the fundamental that will help me find the right direction, no matter what would be the problem that I will be in.


I found it. And it is.....

the world runs on some version of this curve....nobody can tell the exact curve that society is following in different verticals but I think this is the best approximation.

Subsequently, I started getting more data that confirmed my intuition.


Having figured this out..... it becomes my duty to completely embody this knowledge and be an example of human endeavor.
