In a capitalist world, the one who has capital is powerful. The one who has capital can express opinion and have the wherewithal to stand for one's ideas.

There is no point fighting this simple truth. My programming since childhood has been at conflict with this simple construct of society.
our society is capitalist, the solution is imperfect but it is the best we have.
So you better align your priority according to this basic knowledge otherwise, in the words of great Mr wonderful -
"the engine that allows to acquire great wealth will take it all away from you, if you don't use it properly"
