human = hardware + software

Hardware - guaranteed diminishing return
Software  -  constant or incremental rate of return

Software = set of habits
Hardware = physical features


Case 1
Software will improve with more knowledge. If both entities in a relationship are evolving in a similar general direction then both entities will enjoy the relationship for eternity. Granted, there will be differences but there will never me major issues as the software is evolving in a similar fashion.

Case 2
If software is not evolving in similar direction, then the life of each entity will be hell. They will have a lot of misunderstanding and confusion , lack of trust and general happiness levels will be abysmal.

Case 3
If software is evolving in similar  direction but not at similar speed. There will be some problem, but still the relationship will will be healthy.

Case 4
Hardware similarity or dissimilarity does not matter at all in the long run.( this should not even be a variable at the time of consideration of long term relationship)
