The only book that I had read about patterns and map is the book by tony buzan...
I do not know how useful it would be in this context but one thing that has stayed with me and will always remain with me, was the simplicity of the idea of thinking everything in terms of maps.
See connections and validating those connections. I loved that simple idea and I would want to work with it.
