As if, the time dimension does not exist for the persistence of the idea.

I have seen myself sticking to an idea for as long as I wanted and then very next moment, I realized that I did not need it anymore; so, I will just purge it, as if it never existed.



does it happen to everyone?




I think this is how learning and habit formation takes place.

gift or cash ?

In this case, a non-cash alternative like a gift card at a retailer you know the person likes will eliminate any negative feelings the recipient could possible feel when spending it. An equivalent amount of cash, even though it was a gift, will inevitably trigger some feelings of discomfort when they choose to spend it instead of save it. In other words, they won't enjoy parting with the cash.


 So, get the gift card.

context:


throughout my years of trying to build a business, I learned that you need to have some unfair advantage over the competitor. I thought about it and realized that the best unfair advantage will be that you cultivate within you or within your organization.

any external unfair advantage could easily be bought ( ask Airtel, JIO did it to them )


But cultivated unfair advantage is much harder than just buying it ( ask Hike, WhatsApp market share has been growing even after no advertisement )


this concept of CUA ( cultivated unfair advantage) factor could be extended to individuals as well.


we all like to be surrounded by winners and people who have better abilities (  survival mode reasoning).



CUA factor is much harder to come by, but once it does; it has a compounding effect on increasing the probability of success of the entity.

I will give you a simple reason, I will tell you why you should give everything you have got to make something happen at this very moment.



because you will never, ever get this moment again to make it happen.


a little bit of  context:


expected age of universe = 1350000000 years
expected age of earth = 4500000000 years
your expected age = 70 years


Make it happen, this very moment as you do not know how soon will your years get over.
