At 26, I can say with some surity that the only thing which will persist after we would seize to exist is - Our work.
I loved steve jobs- but he died in 2011. And now whenever I think of him, I can not separate his existence from all the tools he helped build. If you take away all the gadgets he made during his life time, the person remaining is just another blob of flesh and blood.
People who would understand that would be the most important entities in your life.
Keep real people around you... be original and help others being original.
